Startups Weekly AI News

September 1 - September 9, 2025

This weekly update shows AI agent startups are getting lots of money from investors. The biggest news was Sierra raising $350 million at a $10 billion value. This company helps other businesses build AI helpers that can do tasks by themselves.

Many other startups also got funding this week. Vouched got $17 million to help check if AI agents are real and trustworthy. Kite raised $18 million to build the basic systems that AI agents need to work. Isotopes came out of hiding with $20 million to make AI agents that help with business data.

Some companies are making AI meeting helpers smarter. MeetGeek got €1.6 million to make their meeting assistant do more than just take notes. Recall.ai raised $38 million to help other companies build products that understand conversations.

From China, DeepSeek is working on new AI agents that can do many tasks without much help from people. They want to compete with American companies like OpenAI. This shows that AI agents are becoming important all around the world, not just in America.
