Multi-agent Systems Weekly AI News

September 1 - September 9, 2025

This weekly update shows AI agents are becoming a big deal in business. Google Cloud found that 52% of company leaders have already started using AI agents in their work. These smart computer helpers can do tasks on their own without people telling them every step.

Several companies got money to build better AI agent systems. Geniez AI raised $6 million to make AI agents that can handle hard business tasks. Gravity launched a new system called Orion that uses many AI agents working together to help company bosses make better decisions.

Microsoft showed how to build multi-agent systems on their Azure cloud service. This lets many AI agents work as a team to solve bigger problems. Anthropic also made a Chrome browser agent that can control web pages and do tasks online.

The shopping world is changing too. Agentic commerce means AI agents can shop for you. They can find flights, compare prices, and even buy things without you having to click through websites. Malaysia started the first bank run completely by AI called Ryt Bank.

But not everything is going well. Many companies are having trouble making AI agents work right. Studies show that 90% of AI agent projects fail. The main problems are that agents make mistakes that get worse over time, and companies don't know how to use them properly.
