The World Digital Technology Academy (WDTA) unveiled new safety testing standards specifically for single AI agents. WDTA's leader Yale Li warned that once new technologies spread through society, controlling them becomes much harder. To address privacy risks, Australia recommends a 'privacy-by-design' approach: using minimal personal data, making data anonymous, and building security into AI from the start.

The UN's AI for Good Global Summit opened with urgent warnings. ITU leader Doreen Bogdan-Martin stated the biggest risk isn't AI destroying humanity, but rushing it into use without understanding the impacts. She emphasized that 'we are the AI generation' and must prioritize learning about these technologies at all ages.
Pope Leo XIV added a moral perspective, urging 'human-centered' AI rules worldwide. He argued that developers, companies, and users all share responsibility for ensuring AI aligns with society's values.
Together, these developments show a global race to balance AI's benefits against its risks. Key priorities include controlling bias, ensuring human oversight, protecting data, and building systems that explain their actions.
